I’ve been involved in some kind of amateur “show biz” –– stage, radio, musicals, writing plays, singing in choirs and choruses –– for as long as I can remember. It’s in the family, especially on my Dad’s side. He was a music teacher, church organist, composer, a great jazz pianist, and a writer of musical comedies for his students and for our little New Hampshire summer community,

For most of our lives, my younger brother Dan and I have made shows together. As kids we’d borrow Dad’s tape recorder to make our own somewhat twisted parody of “Community Auditions”, a Sunday afternoon talent show broadcast out of Boston. More recently, we just completed 20 episodes of film noir video, completely unscripted. Over time, the videos morphed into a radio show with the same characters (we played them all – great practice for VO work). The series was post-produced with music and sound effects.

So my decision to become a voice actor relatively late in life was really a no-brainer. I’m a good mimic, I speak three languages (taught two of them) and have a lively, if slightly warped, sense if humor. I’m a good listener which is why many people describe my voice as “reassuring”.

Listen to my samples and be the judge. Thank you for your interest!
